The Richmond Chapter of ASG has six groups meeting in the Richmond area and one group meeting on Zoom. Whether you're a quilter, garment sewer, bag maker, or textile artist - beginner to experienced - you'll find opportunities to learn, create, and connect.     With 6 groups in the Richmond area and 1 Zoom only group, you're sure to find the perfect fit for your sewing interests! Non-members are welcome to try out two group meetings before joining ASG.

    We have had a great variety of classes this year! Wool applique taught by the McAvoy Sisters, Quilted Jackets by Rae Cumbie, a Serger Basics class and most recently a Fabric Surface Design Class.  Check back for more exciting classes coming in 2027!

  • Community Service

    Community Sew Day - Thursday, October 1st

    Fifteen Sewers met and made 72 heart pillows for mastectomy patients. The pillows were donated to Bon Secours Virginia Breast Center.  Thank you to All Things New for sharing their space and machines for this community project!
